Rekohu... (which means "misty skies") is some 800 kilometres to the East of mainland New Zealand. Henga Lodge is located only 10 minutes drive from the remote Karewa Airport.

The Chatham Islands are located some 800 kilometres to the East of New Zealand . Situated in the infamous "Roaring Forties," the Chathams are renowned for the spectacular scenery, the many species of rare or endangered birds and plant species and for the clean environment, and friendly locals.

The Islands are the homeplace of the Moriori People. Enslaved, murdered and taken to the very edge of extinction, the Moriori people today are a determined, yet peaceful people with a long and proud heritage of peace and harmony.
